A mindfully curated selection of high‑vibrational expressionistic wearable artworks by Pamella Allen, inspired by the mystic of the natural world. These pieces embody the rhythms and imagery found in nature, offering both aesthetic beauty and spiritual resonance. Each wearable design extends Allen’s practice of eco‑responsible, multi‑genre creativity integrating recycled elements, organic pigments, and symbolic forms to create art that can be lived with, carried, and experienced daily. The series invites wearers to embody the meditative qualities of her earthworks and mandalas, transforming personal adornment into a ritual of connection with the natural world transforming her multi‑genre practice into living art. Each piece embodies the cyclical rhythm of nature, weaving together sustainability, symbolism, and soulful creativity.

Drawing upon traditions of ritual and storytelling, Allen’s wearable works invite the wearer into a meditative dialogue with nature — carrying its resonance, beauty, and wisdom into daily life. These adornments are not only aesthetic objects but also vessels of connection, grounding, and renewal.

Artist Biography:

Pamella Allen is a Jamaican‑born visual artist whose practice spans more than 35 years. Her mixed‑media paintings, works on paper, and earthworks have been exhibited in traditional galleries and museums as well as non‑traditional settings, including site‑specific public art commissions for healing spaces such as Bellevue Hospital through the HHC Art‑In‑Medicine program, community and learning centers, the ACLU corporate collection, and private collections worldwide.

Allen’s participation in artist residencies has taken her across India, Europe, the UK, and the USA. A largely self‑taught expressionist, her work is layered in process, integrating acrylic, oil, and encaustic painting, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking, collage, installation, photography, video essay, and prose. Through this multi‑genre approach, she has developed her own archetypal language — a universal visual vocabulary inspired by symbolism, indigenous practices, and the mystic of nature. Her art reflects the diversity of her Jamaican and African heritage and her lived experiences traveling the world and making art over land and sea. In 2018, Allen published The Language of Listening: Image and Prose, which received the AfriCan Authors Award. The second edition, The Infinite Electric, is scheduled for release in 2026.

I was born a creative, landed feet first at Crossroads in Jamaica to a military father and a mother who would soon leave me to my destiny. Hard wired to make things, my process is intuitive and instructive. Through my visual and word based works I investigate the intersections of memory, place, and the mystic of nature. Unmoored, I travel the world by land and sea while finding a tribe of souls in Brooklyn. I Develop a layered and multi genre creative process using artifacts from these experiences to create a unique archetype that builds the mixed media encaustic & water-based paintings with organic and recycled pigments, Solar & pigment-based prints, earthwork installations, prose, textiles, sculpture and earth-stone or gemstone wearables; a body of works created over 40 years of arts practice. These works are a story telling, a means for actualization and a tool for communication and kinship with all elements the natural world around us.

About the Mandalas: To create these works, I have appropriated the ritual, therapeutic and storytelling use of the mandala in cultures throughout history from Africa, to Asia and the Americas. I use my own artifacts and archetypal images, the motion of repetitive form, the written word, and earth elements to create a landscape grounded in the mystic of nature. The desire is to make a place of "one-ness" in the process of creating these works that translates to the viewer as a place of inspired peace and meditation.
